Pure Technique

This class is designed to improve strength, balance, line and technical skills. I use classical & contemporary techniques and each pupil is challenged to their limit.

The first half of the class is at the Barre where the emphasis is placed on strength and balance. I describe this section of the class as being akin to a gym for dancers where each muscle/group is worked to its maximum potential. More balance and strength work is carried out in the Centre, along with much time spent on improving turns, general technique and jumps.

As practice makes perfect, the studio blinds are kept down in this class to give the pupils an environment where they can make a mistake without the world looking on.
